Travel to the bottom of the Canyon to Float the Colorado River through the iconic Horseshoe Bend
You day trip begins at the Grand Canyon National Park where you will be picked up and travel by bus through the Navajo Nation lands, the Painted Desert and the Grand Canyon's Eastern Rim. Your destination is Page, Arizona. Once you arrive at the base of Glen Canyon Dam, you will board a motorized river raft and begin your 15 mile float trip on the Colorado River. Light box lunch is included.
While floating between the canyon walls, rising hundreds of feet above, your guide will share with you the history of the area and the ancient people who once lived there. You will have the opportunity to take a short hike along the river bank to see ancient petroglyphs. Your next highlight will be the world-famous Horseshoe Bend and its awe inspiring cliffs soaring above it. Your trip concludes at historic Lee's Ferry where ground transportation awaits for your return trip to the Grand Canyon area with a stop at Cameron Trading Post.
